4th of July weekend

For 4th of July weekend we spent lots of time swimming and playing at Nana and Papa's house. Nolan had a really bad diaper rash, so he spent most of the weekend in the buff. He didn't seem to mind! Nolan loved running through, drinking out of, and playing with Papa in the sprinkler. He enjoyed spending time with Uncle Pickle and Aunt Kelly too. I think Pickle had a tough time because Nolan LOVES his Aunt Kelly. It was a very relaxing weekend with swimming, sprinklers, BBQ and family. It was a wonderful weekend.
Diaper rash is NOT fun, but it didn't slow him down very much.
LOVED the sprinkler!!

Papa taught me how to drink from the sprinkler.

4th of July Parade

We took Nolan to his 1st Fourth of July parade. We went with Uncle Brent and had a great time. We picked up some breakfast on the way and then hung out and waited for the parade to get to us. We sat at the end of the route and found a nice shady spot. Nolan LOVED watching anything that had music, bubbles, or animals. He waved when Uncle Keith went by on the Saugus ASB float. He did pretty well and lasted right up until the end.
Waiting for something to happen.
He didn't last very long in the stroller.
So serious.

Hurricane Harbor play date

To try and beat the heat of summer we had a play date at Hurricane Harbor. Nolan got to go with a group of friends and I got to chase him around in the FREEZING cold water. I actually took video of Nolan there and it shows him shivering because of the water temperature. I was told by multiple lifeguards that my child looks cold and maybe I should get him out of the water. I pointed out to the MANY warnings that I was aware of how cold he was, but that he wouldn't get out of the water. He was happy to be cold as long as he could stay in the water. Nolan loved going down the water slide (a mini one) and wanted to be in the water the whole time. He was fun to watch and exhausting to follow. As tired as I was at the end of the day, I hope this becomes a regular outing during the summer.

Here I come, and it's COLD!!

Asking Mommy for a hand getting through the water.
Climbing up to get even wetter!

Hanging out with Kaylen and Kaycie.
Why do I always wait to take pictures of us at the END of the day?

Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day at Nana and Papa's house this year. We BBQ'd and hung out in the backyard. Papa was working on the drains and at one point he sprayed Nolan with the hose. Nolan was shocked and a little startled. Nolan liked helping Papa work, but took a break to stop and listen to Uncle Pickle play the guitar. Reed had a chance to relax a little and we all enjoyed the day.

Watching Papa dig holes in the backyard.
Looking at more of Papa's chaos, I mean work with Siena and Rocky.
Help Mommy, I'm dirty!!

Not very happy!!
Papa got a little muddy too.
Just hanging out.
