The Orange County Fair

Last Sunday we met up with some friends and went to the fair. I love the fair (Reed was forced) but since we went with hockey guys it wasn't so bad for him. Thanks for the invite Kathy or I never would have gotten him to go. There are interesting people there, but it's a great place to eat (and eat and eat and eat), drink, and go on rides you wonder if they put together correctly. The boys also raced down the jumbo slide fighting till the end. (see picture) But the real excitement was when Reed went on a ride and didn't get sick, I really thought that ride would be the end of our day. Fortunately, he did fine and we were able to enjoy the day. Unfortunately, his white wife forgot sunscreen and is still paying the price. Oh well, we had a great time.

Fruit Ciders and Shots We Can't Pronounce

As you know Reed has played ice hockey for about 4 years now. I have become a loyal fan of the Pointy Pointy Birds (yes, that really is his team's name). But in the last month I and other loyal fans have discovered how to make the games even better! (I know you are thinking, is that really possible?) Yes it is and I can finally say Reed's hobby has led me to drinking. :) At his game this Friday some of the other wives, girlfriends, and I had a few drinks to help pass the time and help ignite our team spirit. As the game went on some of the guys (Thad) seemed more interested in the fans than the game. It was a great game for all. The boys posted a win, took no penalties (Even with Eirik in the line-up!), and their loyal fans were three sheets to the wind. Beer league hockey finally made it to the stands!
Disclaimer: Reed wants everyone to know he had no Fruity Cider! (He's a manly man.)

The Girls

Uncle Reed and Aunt Michelle had a wonderful time watching our two nieces this weekend. (Well we only had them one night but, as tired as we were you would think we had them for the week!) The were very well behaved and we had a lot of fun. Both of the girls LOVE their uncle and want him more than me (unless they are in the bathroom or need changing :)). Reed refuses to change a diaper and proceeds to gag if asked or is around a diaper being change. (If any moms out there have ideas for how to break this before we have children (which is not happening any time soon) I would love your advice!) Morgan, the 3 1/2 year old, is talking constantly and Lilly (1) is trying to talk like her big sister, but more importantly running everywhere. They were a lot of fun and a lot of energy. It's funny how I seemed to chase the girls around, play with them on the floor, get the things out of their mouths, and Reed jumped in when they wanted to watch a movie. (Is that how it will be too?) Well he wasn't that bad he did help with dinner and give baths, maybe I'm stuck on the inability to change a diaper even a wet one, he says it feels heavy and grosses him out. WOW, is there any hope?

We had a great time with the girls and loved having them with us for a few days. It's hard not to they were really well behaved, and look how cute they are.

Reed's 29th Birthday

Well, yesterday was the big 29 for Reed. We celebrated by dinner (which I tried to make- but I needed a lot of help from the birthday boy) and cake. It was very low key but then again I'm the birthday queen, Reed is a little more mellow!! We also went out on Saturday with our parents to celebrate Reed, my dad (his is today), and Reed's dad's (his is Friday) birthdays. Hope he enjoys his last year in his twenties (I can say that I'm 2 years younger!

Finally Ready

To all friends and family,

Our blog is finally ready. This is something we have wanted to do to keep in touch with all of you near and far. In our busy lives we felt this would be a fast convenient way to keep in touch. We hope to give you the important details (Michelle style details not Reed style details!) of our everyday lives. Feel free to read and post your comments as you feel inspired. We love and miss you all very much.

Disclaimer: I cannot be held responsible for what Reed may post on here without my adult supervision. So be forewarned the "HH" could strike at any moment as he is, unfortuantely, out of my sight most of the day and we all know how he can be when one of his funny "moods" hits him. So let me take this opportunity to apologize for any potential (Who am I kidding it's Reed) offensive posts.
